Virtual Reality Developer

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Virtual Reality Developer Intern to join our team.

Job Description

• Test and evaluate specific systems with a team of engineers.
• Assist with creating 3D models and environments using CAD software or modeling software.
• Configure and integrate virtual reality hardware.
• Design intuitive user interfaces and interaction tools.
• Identify and debug erroneous behavior.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and actively pursuing a BA/BS Degree.
• Must have experience with game engine development (Unity Engine, Unreal Engine, Godot, etc.).
• Must demonstrate creative problem-solving skills.
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have the ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Must be efficient and detail oriented.

Desired Qualifications

• Proficiency with Unreal Engine, preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Solidworks, Autodesk, Blender, etc.), preferred.
• Experience using C++, C#, Java, or Python, preferred.
• Familiarity with XR hardware (Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Mixed Reality), preferred.
• Familiarity with repository management tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jira, etc.), preferred.

Travel Requirements

• Occasional travel - less than 10%.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

Physical Requirements

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
