Senior Game Designer II, VR

Join Axon and be part of a mission to "Protect Life" by helping build VR solutions for public safety training. This role focuses on immersive VR training simulations to help law enforcement officers with community engagement, de-escalation, and less-lethal weapon training.

Your Impact:

• Work with cutting-edge VR technologies to design and create impactful training experiences.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and drive the development of VR training simulators.
• Contribute to the development of gameplay systems and prototype new ideas to define product direction.

What You'll Do:

• Design and develop VR training simulations that meet learning objectives and user needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, artists, and SMEs, to ensure high-quality training simulations.
• Create detailed design documents, prototypes, and rule sets for training simulations.
• Conduct user research, play-tests, and gather feedback for iterative design improvements.
• Ensure usability, playability, and accessibility of VR experiences for diverse users.

What You Bring:

• 8+ years of experience as a Game Designer with a strong background in VR and training simulations.
• Expertise in Unity or Unreal Engine, game development tools, and VR technologies.
• Strong narrative design skills with experience in creating interactive storylines.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring and leading cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling, scripting languages (C# or Python), and AI integration in gameplay.
