Senior Design Technologist, Visual Innovation Team

Amazon’s Visual Innovation Team (VIT) is seeking a Senior Design Technologist to drive the development of advanced immersive shopping experiences. This team pioneers innovations in VR, AR, CGI, and generative AI, focusing on workflow automation and technical problem-solving in the creative domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Bridge the gap between creative and engineering teams to solve multidisciplinary problems.
• Develop semi-automated production workflows for videographers and studio production teams.
• Build and maintain centralized creative workflows and tooling in collaboration with tech artists and engineers.
• Research, prototype, and implement cutting-edge industry trends to enhance production capabilities.
• Focus on in-house video creation, leveraging virtual production and Gen-AI workflows.

A Day in the Life

You will spend your day coding and developing tools, workflows, and automation to improve the creative crew’s experience and productivity. Working closely with production teams, you'll observe and empathize with their challenges, prototyping novel solutions to increase efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper.
• Proficiency in front-end programming languages with available coding samples.
• An online portfolio showcasing visually polished and engaging UX prototypes.
• Strong collaboration skills with UX, Product, and technical partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of databases and AWS database services, including ElasticSearch, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary Range: $138,800 to $239,900 annually, depending on market location and experience.
• Additional compensation includes equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive benefits package.
