About the Role

As a member of an international team working on Extended Reality solutions, your responsibility is to address everything related to 3D assets, from strategy to execution, ensuring faster and successful completion of XR use cases in Siemens Energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Cooperate with XR experts and engineers to devise product specific strategies and workflows for 3D assets - from CAD/BIM to XR authoring platforms
• Support internal partners, handling complexities of multiple 3D systems and game engines, executing 3D workflows, and optimizing assets
• Support XR designers crafting animations and complex interactions with objects
• Devise automated workflows for complex/large 3D assets, demonstrating scripting skills and AI tools

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent experience in IT, computer science, engineering, game design, or similar
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the XR/game industry, or as 3D designer/artist
• Experience in automation for all tasks in the 3D asset workflow
• Portfolio showcasing skills handling all levels of complexity in 3D asset production
• In-depth knowledge of computer graphics and technologies
• Highly skilled in artistic 3D applications such as Blender and Maya, including scripting and automation plugins
• Experienced in CAD/BIM applications such as NX and Autodesk 360
• Mastery of Unity and Unreal game engines for 3D asset creation, texturing, animations, and optimization
• Experience with texturing applications and procedural textures
• Ability to perform 3D scanning and handle point clouds
• Experience with plugins for 3D assets: preview, conversion, export/import, optimization, LODs
• Customer and end user oriented with focus on UX and interface design
• Experience working in agile teams and with scrum methodology
• Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for learning new technologies in extended reality
• Proficient in English (Portuguese or German is a bonus)
