AI & Design Visualization Specialist

Kia Design Center America, located in California, is seeking a Senior/Lead Visualization/AI Designer to join their team. This role involves creating high-quality, photo-realistic renderings and animations while driving advancements in design visualization and AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, photo-realistic renderings and animations.
• Develop and refine 3D assets for rendering and VR scenes.
• Lead design projects from start to finish under time and resource constraints.
• Research and analyze trends in design visualization, AI tools, and emerging technologies.
• Oversee visualization processes and collaborate with CAD modeling teams to streamline workflows.
• Work closely with Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Design teams to meet design, engineering, and manufacturing criteria.
• Produce presentation-ready materials for design reviews.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and improving delivery standards.
• Drive discussions around technical solutions to enhance capabilities and overcome limitations.
• Attend auto shows, design-related events, and travel internationally (primarily to South Korea) as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• BS, BFA, MS, MFA, or Diploma in Product/Transportation Design.
• Minimum 8+ years of professional design experience in an automotive or product design studio.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D visualization software (Photoshop, VRED, Unreal Engine, Keyshot, Vray) and digital modeling tools (Alias, SubD, Maya, Blender).
• Experience with AI tools for generating visualizations.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base Salary: $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
