About
We are seeking a skilled Unreal Artist to join our small team and play a vital role in delivering visually stunning content across our virtual production projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, artistic creativity, and strong collaboration skills to bring concepts to life in real-time environments.
As part of our team, you'll work closely with advertising agencies, film production companies and art department designers, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration of your work into production pipelines. Your contributions will be key to ensuring projects remain on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality, real-time visual effects using Unreal Engine in alignment with artistic and technical direction.
- Optimise assets and workflows to balance visual fidelity with performance requirements.
- Develop environments using new and pre-existing assets, implementing them effectively into Unreal Engine.
- Leverage your understanding of Unreal's rendering systems, Blueprints, and shader materials to enhance visual outcomes.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in real-time VFX and contribute to ongoing R&D initiatives.
- Identify and address technical challenges, proposing creative solutions where needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Unreal Engine development with a focus on Virtual Production workflows for LED volumes.
- Advanced proficiency with Unreal Engine, including practical experience with its latest versions.
- Strong understanding of VFX production pipelines, workflows, and real-time rendering systems.
- Proficiency with tools such as Maya, Substance, Adobe Suite and additional tools like Houdini or Nuke.
- Knowledge of USD workflows and their applications in VFX.
- Expertise in lighting principles and their implementation in Unreal.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your Unreal Engine experience and technical skills.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with internal and external freelamce teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to meet project deadlines.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail.
