About
What you'll do:
- Automate art processes to allow asset creation at scale
- Create and optimize pipelines to enhance workflow efficiency and scalability for the art team
- Design and implement tools to streamline artist workflows, focusing on automation and ease of use
- Collaborate with artists, production, and engineers to ensure workflows meet technical needs
- Assist artists in production by troubleshooting issues and providing technical guidance
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of Autodesk Maya, Maya API, and file management.
- Deep understanding of Python scripting and coding best practices
- Understanding of art fundamentals and artist workflows
- Production proven end-to-end understanding of the 3D/2D pipelines
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree degree in Computer Science, Animation or equivalent years of experience
- 2+ years of experience working as a Technical Artist or related position
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working with Autodesk Maya
- PySide/PyQt, Git, C++, JavaScript, Autodesk Shotgrid/Flow, Perforce, and Maya plugin development
- Rigging, creation of modular rigging solutions, and automation of rigging process
- Experience in a real time engine such as Lens Studio, Unity, or Unreal
- Experience with GenAI tools such as ComfyUI
- Experience in SideFX Houdini
- Experience writing shaders in GLSL to create new materials and/or effects
- Experience using Maya's standalone to batch process files, and assets.
