Role Overview

Join the Sportsnet team as a Senior Designer - Unreal Engine VR, contributing to the creation of exceptional virtual and augmented reality experiences. As a key member of the team, you will blend creativity, technical expertise, and leadership skills to elevate VR and AR capabilities in broadcast and gaming.

This role requires versatility, strong 3D design skills, and the ability to lead projects from ideation to execution. Evening and weekend work may occasionally be required due to Sportsnet's continuous operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and direct 3D motion to integrate VR/AR elements into broadcasts.
• Collaborate with sales and production teams to generate innovative ideas.
• Develop and execute compelling designs from scratch.
• Communicate technical needs, risks, and opportunities related to content and features.
• Stay updated on creative trends and technical advancements.
• Simplify complex projects into clear, impactful concepts.
• Seamlessly collaborate across sales, production, engineering, and creative teams.
• Provide constructive feedback to enhance creative outputs.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Strong portfolio/reel showcasing professional 3D and motion design work.
• Proven expertise in Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, and Substance Painter.
• Experience with blueprint and scripting in Unreal Engine.
• Solid foundation in graphic and motion design principles.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically After Effects and Photoshop.
• Experience in gaming or broadcast production.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines and rise to creative challenges.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Zero Density - Reality.
• Leadership experience in creative projects.
