Software Engineer - AR, VR, MR (Leadership)

We are looking for a software engineer with experience and expertise in building platforms and experiences in tandem. As our team works in AR/MR, hands on experience building 3D experiences (e.g., games, spatial applications) and platforms (e.g., game engines) is particularly applicable for this role. The ideal candidate is self-driven and can work up and down the technical stack independent of technical or organizational boundaries. Our team's collaborative skills are at the high end, so it's really about solving problems that we need to solve to build the next wave of computing devices (AR Glasses) - component ownership is fleeting - product responsibility is durable

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with broad cross functional across HW+SW, develop product and system architectures for future products
• Support technical integration of machine-perception and graphics technologies into products
• Develop technology platform roadmaps

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced qualifications in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven expertise in technology development
• Experience developing systems with multi-function/multi-disciplinary threads
• Experience communicating across multiple teams
• Experience working cross-disciplinary, mentor team members and best practices
• Experience managing hardware and software development
• 12+ years programming in C++
• Experience shipping applications and/or games

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science
• Experience in consumer device space
• Experience with rapid prototyping
• Masters degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or equivalent
• Experience shipping applications and/or games
• Experience working in an Android and Linux environment
• Experience working on integrated software/hardware (and silicon) teams
