About
Kinetic Games, creators of Phasmophobia, are seeking a talented Senior Unity C# Programmer to join their team and contribute to the ongoing development of their hit horror game and future projects. This role offers the chance to work on an established game with a passionate fanbase while exploring innovative features and mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement new game features and systems.
- Optimize gameplay mechanics and codebase for performance across supported platforms.
- Collaborate with design and art teams to ensure technical feasibility and alignment with the game vision.
- Develop tools and workflows to enhance game production processes.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
- Mentor junior programmers and promote best practices.
- Stay updated on Unity engine advancements and integrate new technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional Unity game development experience, with at least one shipped title.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming and software engineering principles.
- Proficiency in game optimization techniques for diverse hardware setups.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance analysis skills.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably PlasticSCM.
- Passion for horror games and innovation in the genre.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
Nice To Have
- Experience developing for consoles (Xbox Series S/X & PS5 preferred).
- Knowledge of multiplayer game development.
- Familiarity with OpenXR/XR Interaction Toolkit.
- Experience with Photon Networking (PUN 2) and Unity Gaming Services.

About the Role
