Senior Staff Product Designer, New Products

Mozilla is seeking a Senior Staff Product Designer to join their New Product group remotely in Germany. With over 225 million monthly users, Mozilla has been dedicated to shaping an open, user-first internet for 25 years. This role within the New Product group will involve creating new product concepts from the ground up, focusing on discovery, prototyping, and market testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to craft the product vision and strategy, emphasizing user-centered solutions that meet business goals.
• Customer Discovery: Conduct research, user testing, and competitive analysis to uncover user needs and validate product ideas.
• Lead Design & User Journey: From sketches to high-fidelity prototypes, lead all aspects of design to bring the product vision to life.
• Advocate for Users: Ensure that user needs remain at the forefront throughout the design process.
• Mentorship: Mentor other designers, enhancing design thinking within Mozilla.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in product design, ideally with startup or entrepreneurial experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces.
• Skilled in modern design tools and able to create annotated mock-ups from low-fidelity to final designs.
• Ability to balance UX, business needs, and technical feasibility.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams.
