Senior Product Designer - AI

Microsoft's Industry Solutions Team is seeking a Senior Product Designer - AI to work on innovative AI solutions that address real-world challenges. This role involves collaborating with customers, data scientists, and engineers to design AI-driven products with a human-centered approach. The ideal candidate is skilled in design principles, responsible AI practices, and can navigate complex, ambiguous settings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Design: Use data insights to understand the problem space, develop human-centered solutions, and produce high-quality designs that meet customer needs.
• Collaboration: Work within multidisciplinary teams, representing design throughout the product lifecycle, and ensure solutions align with responsible AI principles.
• Communication: Create impactful artifacts to progress design decisions, and clearly convey design concepts for services, products, and experiences.

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of responsible AI principles and AI technologies
• Experience in product design across platforms and proficiency in Figma
• Strong storytelling and communication skills for human-centered approaches

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master's in Design or related fields OR equivalent experience
• Experience across all product stages from discovery to release
• Ability to work within ambiguous or complex settings
• Experience working in virtual, distributed teams
