Senior Graphics Developer - XR

We are looking for a Graphics Developer to join the Graphics Device Features team. We are working on the graphics hardware abstraction layer at the heart of the Unity engine. You will work alongside other graphics developers to improve and maintain cross-platform graphics systems, focusing on developing cutting-edge graphics features for current and future Unity platforms! This role will allow you to have a direct impact on how the engine takes advantage of graphics hardware features, and includes some collaboration with key platform and GPU partners. Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of graphics and a passion for developing features that will be used by a wide range of users.

What you will do

• Develop new graphics features that leverage our partners' platforms.
• Contribute to maintaining existing graphics features and improving performance, testability and stability
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, plan work, communicate progress and resolve issues that arise collaboratively
• Participate in technical discussions with our platform and GPU partners
• Participate in technical design and code reviews, and create automated tests for new features

What we are looking for

• A solid understanding of real-time 3D graphics programming with a good knowledge of modern GPU architecture
• Strong skills in multi-threaded programming, C++ and C#
• Proficiency in a graphics API such as Direct3D, Vulkan or Metal
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong interest in cross-platform rendering and development
• An ability to diagnose bugs and performance issues using industry standard tools

You may also have

• Experience developing for multiple platforms Mobile, RX and console applications are of particular interest.
• Working knowledge of other platform APIs, such as OpenXR and DirectML
• A direct experience with Unity.
