About

As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will be researching and developing Mixed Reality applications (e.g., training applications for first responders / decision makers, applications for crisis and disaster events)

You will use your expertise in computer graphics and computer vision and your development skills to design and develop new solutions in Mixed Reality in the field of first responder training and applications for crisis and disaster management.

In order to provide fast and efficient solutions, you will work on scalable and platform independent architectures allowing development of innovative systems, algorithms, applications, and system concepts.

You will be involved in national and international projects, in which the technologies you are working on will be developed and tested together with end-users.

You will provide support in the acquisition of new research and development projects, will take over project leads, present your results, and act as a reliable contact person for our industry and project partners.

Your innovative solutions are aligned with the requirements of the end users and are characterized by excellence, both technologically and scientifically. Your developed methods prove themselves in practice and are successfully used by our customers.

You actively share your knowledge with colleagues, support students in our unit and will be networking with the national and international community.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary team and exchange ideas on the latest technological developments.

Your qualifications as an Ingenious Partner:

  • A degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, Game Engineering, or a related field
  • Profound experience with Virtual-, Augmented- or Mixed Reality
  • Experience with VR/MR hardware (e.g., Microsoft HoloLens, Magic Leap, HTC Vive, Inertial Sensors)
  • Experience with distributed systems and interface design
  • Good knowledge in the following areas:
    • Software tools and technologies like Git, Unity3D, Visual Studio
    • Programming languages: C++, C#, Python
    • Cross-compilation
  • Ideally knowledge in the following areas:
    • Computer Vision – especially object detection & tracking, camera calibration and 3D reconstruction
    • Software tools and technologies like Android & Web- development, Docker, OpenCV
  • Strong interest in writing research proposals and leading projects as well as writing scientific publications
  • Ability to work in a team with initiative, flexibility, and commitment
  • Excellent communication skills in English are required.
