Perplexity Residents

Perplexity AI is launching its Resident Program for exceptional early-career Frontend and Full Stack engineers. This 3-month, full-time residency, based in our San Francisco office, offers recent graduates and early-career professionals a unique opportunity to work closely with our Product Engineering team to build and launch new features at a rapidly growing AI startup.

Outstanding performers may be offered a full-time position at the end of the program.

Who We're Looking For

We’re seeking self-motivated individuals who are passionate about building high-quality products. Ideal candidates will:

Be passionate about:

• Building new 0-1 products at large scale
• Working closely with Product, Design, and AI teams to create delightful new features
• Developing and scaling Perplexity's suite of applications as we grow
• Monitoring, debugging, and fixing issues in deployed applications

Possess key qualifications:

• Ability to pick up and apply new concepts quickly
• Strong programming skills
• Familiarity with NextJS, TypeScript, Python, Docker, and AWS
• A passion for shipping high-quality products
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Residency Program Details

Schedule:

• Take home project: 1/2/25 – 1/5/25
• Virtual onsite interviews: 1/13/25 – 1/14/25
• Residency start date: 2/3/25 or 6/3/25

Interview Process:

1. Application: Submit your application to the Perplexity Residents Program.
2. Take home: Selected applicants will complete a Take Home Project, due by 1/5/25 at 11:59 PM PT.
3. Virtual onsite interviews: Standout applicants will participate in three 45-minute interviews with company leaders.
4. Offer: Successful candidates will be invited to join the Residency Program.
5. Start: Begin your residency in our San Francisco HQ on either 2/3/25 or 6/3/25.

Compensation

• Monthly stipend: $9,000/month
• Health insurance: Not provided
