About
Join Magnopus as a Lead Unity Engineer and contribute to our mission of bridging the physical and digital divide with innovative client applications powered by the Connected Spaces Platform. This role focuses on advancing our iOS client, supporting the development of interoperable and accessible cross-reality spaces and experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Lead engineering efforts, ensuring high-quality results aligned with studio requests and product requirements.
- Supervise system design and implementation, consulting with domain experts for optimal solutions.
- Clearly communicate product goals to the team, ensuring work meets objectives and quality standards.
- Identify and communicate risks and dependencies, proposing effective solutions to product management.
- Collaborate with product and program management to provide accurate planning information and maintain project focus and quality.
- Develop and maintain a project backlog with engineers and product owners, ensuring clear delivery requirements.
- Facilitate cross-discipline communication, delegate tasks appropriately, and foster team collaboration.
- Mentor and develop engineers, promoting a learning culture within the team.
- Propose innovative solutions during design and development, considering performance, memory, storage, and bandwidth trade-offs.
- Define, document, and communicate technical goals, values, and processes.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Unity, C#, and AR frameworks; proficiency with industry-standard tech stack/tools.
- Strong debugging and profiling skills; adept at solving problems across all project areas.
- Capable of developing impartial and objective code; experience in multithreaded programming.
- Skilled in developing modular software with clean, well-documented APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to plan, design, and implement solutions for a broad range of technical challenges.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical issues to non-technical staff and write clear documentation.
- Proven experience running teams in an Agile/Scrum environment and mentoring engineering teams.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in developing XR applications and multiplayer experiences.
- Familiarity with spatial anchoring solutions.
Compensation:
- Salary: £60,000 to £70,000 per year
