Lead Designer

Join Worlds Untold as a Lead Designer to shape a new AAA game and IP. This remote role allows you to work from Canada, leading the design vision for a groundbreaking player experience. Collaborate with project leadership and be a part of defining the culture and values of Worlds Untold.

Key Responsibilities:

• Align game design with the vision of the IP and world, collaborating with project leadership.
• Develop and implement a cohesive design vision that meets project objectives.
• Lead feature creation with a focus on player satisfaction.
• Mentor and support the design team, ensuring high performance and job satisfaction.
• Advocate for the design department and build strong relationships across departments.
• Foster alignment on game design initiatives, ensuring clear communication.
• Collaborate with leaders from various disciplines to find innovative solutions.
• Address design challenges and refine features based on playtesting feedback.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborative, curious, and independent problem-solver.
• Passionate about making games and understanding what makes them fun.
• 12+ years of experience, including experience as a Lead on a AAA Game.
• Ability to provide focused and inspiring creative leadership.
• Strong pitching and public speaking skills.
• Effective decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Unreal Engine and its tools.
• Experience mentoring designers and guiding complex problem resolution.
• Background in AAA single-player narrative-driven game development.
• Experience with diverse co-development teams.

Compensation Range:

• Canada: $139,000 - $175,000 CAD
• United States: $181,000 - $224,000 USD
