About
Autodesk is seeking a Graduate Intern in HCI & Visualization Research to join their research group and explore emerging technologies to enhance design processes. The internship offers the opportunity to work on a research project in areas like AR, VR, Information Visualization, Generative Design, and User Interfaces for AI. Guided by mentors, interns will work on project aspects including software prototyping, experimentation, data analysis, and publication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Prototyping: Develop software prototypes, algorithms, and new technologies to support research and design efforts.
- Experimental Design: Conduct psychological experiments and usability studies to validate research concepts.
- Research Documentation: Prepare research papers, videos, and presentations for internal and external audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Enrollment in MSc or PhD in Computer Science or related field with specialization in HCI, and at least one academic term remaining post-internship
- Demonstrated expertise in interactive technologies, with peer-reviewed publications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical skills in building software prototypes
- Experience with generative AI tools, web development, and unique hardware modules
- Proficiency in 3D graphics programming, Unity, Unreal Engine, and rapid prototyping
Internship Details: 12-16 weeks from May to September, aligning with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach to support remote, hybrid, or office-based work preferences.
