The Zurich Cantonal Police, with its approximately 4,000 employees, assumes responsibility for security in the canton. In the newly established Competence Center for Extended Reality (CC XR), we are working with partner organizations on the revolutionary advancement of police training and continuing education through the use of state-of-the-art augmented reality technologies.

Your tasks

• Development and modeling of police scenarios in various XR software editors
• Optimization and updating of existing 3D assets
• Design and implementation of the software architecture for XR applications as well as development of the 3D/XR software using Blueprint or other coding techniques
• Responsibility in the operator role when executing scenarios in various XR software environments
• Methodological-didactic and technical advice for users in the field of XR
• Technical support in basic and continuing education projects as well as forensics
• Technical operation of the entire XR hardware and software infrastructure

Your profile

• Completed basic training in design or mediamatics/computer science as well as a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Experience in methodological and didactic adult education (ideally with SVEB 1 certificate)
• Solid knowledge in game design, extended reality, 3D data modeling and VR engines, basic programming skills and experience in UX design
• Fluent German and good written and spoken English skills
• Structured, analytical working method with a strong problem-solving approach
• Creativity and innovative spirit in developing new solutions
• Convincing appearance and the ability to arouse enthusiasm
