Experience Designer

Nike Virtual Studios is Nike’s home for gaming, where we energize gaming culture for the next generation of Nike fans through our web and social platforms — .SWOOSH.

We are looking for a freelance Experience Designer to join us as we build immersive, interactive storytelling and digital commerce experiences that enable .SWOOSH to authentically connect and communicate with our gamer community.

In this role, you will creatively use your UX, visual & motion design, and storytelling expertise to solve complex design problems and deliver visually compelling experiences for our web platform.

You will work under the direction of the Nike Virtual Studios Design team and will collaborate with our Product, Engineering, Brand, and Content teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide visual design support for all web platform needs inclusive of physical & virtual product launches, immersive experiences, and motion & animation content.
• Participate in the ideation and execution of creative design concepts that enable our product launch activations and digital commerce experiences for our community.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, copywriters, and engineers to solve design challenges and create immersive and engaging experiences.
• Utilize our foundational design components to build new page layouts and interactive concepts for immersive experiences, quests, product launches, gaming partner pages, and content pages.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong visual design, user experience, motion, and animation skills.
• Strong ideation skills that demonstrate a firm grasp of product marketing needs.
• Ability to brainstorm with marketing/brand teams to bring core narratives to concept.
• Ability to prototype and explore innovative interaction models on the platform.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a strong eye for type, color, motion, and layouts.
• Mastery of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Figma.
• Strong web design and editorial experience.
• 3D design experience is a plus.
• Proactive and adaptable to a fast-paced team without compromising on quality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
