Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst in Computer Vision to join our Reality Experience Team. You will contribute to the development of tracking algorithms (gaze, pose, controllers, markers) and related software features for Varjo’s mixed reality products. You understand the importance of high-quality data and insights to drive the performance of complex algorithmic pipelines relying on machine learning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Data Processing and Analysis: Process, analyze, and visualize computer vision data in domains like gaze, pose, controllers, and markers to provide insights for algorithm development.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers and algorithm researchers to advance tracking features.
• KPI Systems: Contribute to and improve tracking KPI systems by automating performance metrics and visualizations.
• Data Coordination: Coordinate data collection and labeling processes.

Our Expectations

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics and software engineering with strong expertise in Python. Familiarity with libraries such as numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and scipy.
• Solid knowledge of math statistics and experience analyzing time series data.
• Strong data visualization skills.
• Understanding of basic algorithms, data structures, and algorithm complexity (Big O).
• Daily experience with source control and CI systems (Git, Jenkins).
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional, agile teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Ability to work on-site in our Helsinki HQ 4 times a week.
• Strong desire to continuously learn and grow in the computer vision domain.

A Big Plus

• Experience automating data processing and visualization pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Grafana).
• Knowledge of C++.
• Experience with image processing and machine learning.
