AR/VR Research Engineer

We're seeking an AR/VR Research Engineer to develop therapeutic virtual environments and immersive mental health experiences.

Important Note

This is an unpaid role for the first 2 months with PG accommodation provided for bachelor's degree holders. Competitive salary will be offered from the 3rd month. Immediate relocation to Bangalore required.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop therapeutic AR/VR applications using Unity/Unreal Engine
• Create calming virtual environments for mental health sessions
• Implement gesture recognition and biometric feedback integration
• Optimize performance for various VR headsets and AR devices
• Collaborate with therapists to design evidence-based virtual interventions

Required Qualifications

• M.Tech in Computer Science, Gaming Technology, or related field, PhD preferred
• 3+ years experience in AR/VR development (freshers from top tier institutions welcome)
• Strong Unity/Unreal Engine portfolio
• Proficiency in C#/C++
• Experience with VR SDKs (OpenXR, Oculus SDK)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare/wellness applications
• Published AR/VR applications
• Research background in HCI or Digital Health
• Knowledge of WebXR and cloud rendering

• Base salary: Up to 20 LPA
